Here is a new Black Cod recipe from our friends at Stellar Pacific Seafood’s.
- About 1 cup soy sauce
- About 3/4 cup brown sugar.
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1/4 cup peeled, diced fresh ginger.
- 1/4 cup diced jalapeno pepper, seeds removed.
- Teaspoon of crushed black pepper
- 1 Black Cod Fillet
Blend all ingredients together. Marinate the Black Cod Fillet in the blended mixture for at least one hour turning over a few times.
After marinating, place the fillet on foil. Spoon the mixed ingredients form above and some of the liquid over the fish. Its okay to have lots of liquid around the fish.
Place fish in foil on a cookie sheet. Cook at 350-370 for 20-30 minutes. You want the meet the start to crack and separate or flake. As the fish cooks it is good to keep spooning the liquid over the fish every 5 minutes or so. The liquid might get thicker as it cooks, that’s ok keep spooning.
Serve the fish with liquid on top of your served portion. Goes great with some rice and vegetables.
