FishChoice, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that is funded by private foundations and donors. FishChoice works directly with the Seafood Watch Program at Monterey Bay Aquarium, Ocean Wise, NOAA Fisheries, the Marine Stewardship Council, Best Aquaculture Practices, Fair Trade, Food Alliance, and Aquaculture Stewardship Council in providing science-based, up-to-date sustainable seafood products, suppliers of those products, and relevant supporting information.

Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute

ASMI is a public-private partnership between the State of Alaska and the Alaska seafood industry established to foster economic development of a renewable natural resource. ASMI is playing a key role in the repositioning of Alaska’s seafood industry as a competitive market-driven food production industry. Its work to boost the value of Alaska’s seafood product portfolio is accomplished through partnerships with retail grocers, foodservice distributors, restaurant chains, foodservice operators, universities, culinary schools, and the media.

The Whidbey Island Grown Cooperative Food Hub is an online marketplace of locally grown and produced food. They make it possible for farmers to work together to meet the growing demand for local, sustainable food on Whidbey Island. Farmers and other producers benefit from the marketing, selling, packaging, and delivering of their produce, prepared foods, and other products directly to customers.

WAIF

Whidbey Animals’ Improvement Foundation (WAIF) is a non-profit organization which was formed in 1990 in an effort to help Whidbey Island’s homeless companion animals. WAIF is dedicated to providing food, shelter, veterinary care, and nurturing to displaced pets until loving homes can be found for them.
