Versatile Seafood Elixirs: 4 Sauces, 1 Base

Ingredients:

The classic - Lemon-Dill Aioli

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, lemon zest, and lemon juice until well combined.
  • Stir in the chopped fresh dill and mix thoroughly.
  • Season the aioli with salt and pepper to taste, adjusting according to your preferences.
  • Refrigerate the sauce for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Serve the Lemon-Dill Aioli alongside your salmon and Bairdi crab cakes or any other seafood dishes for a zesty and herby complement.

  • Replace Dijon mustard with whole-grain mustard.

  • Incorporate 1 tablespoon of fresh tarragon, finely chopped.
  • Adjust salt and pepper to taste.

 2. Spicy Sriracha Mayo Sauce

  • Substitute Dijon mustard with spicy brown mustard.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of Sriracha sauce for heat.
  • Include 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika for a smoky flavor.
  • Adjust salt and pepper to taste.
